Life can sometimes feel like a series of battles, leaving us worn down by loss, grief, and emotional wounds. I know that feeling all too well. At one point, my health started to decline due to all the stresses of life and I began gaining weight—both physical and emotional baggage piling up. Disappointments and life changes left me feeling like I was losing myself, one piece at a time. But one day, something shifted. I looked in the mirror, really looked at myself, and declared, “Not So!” That was the moment everything began to change.
A Bold Decision
I made a choice:
“I will not let depression define me. I will LIVE and not die but declare the works of the Lord! I will GET UP and MOVE!” (Psalm 118:17)
“I will not let depression define me. I will LIVE and not die but declare the works of the Lord! I will GET UP and MOVE!” (Psalm 118:17)
From that moment, I began a journey to reclaim my value and worth. It wasn’t just about shedding pounds or changing how I looked—it was about transforming how I lived. And today, I want to encourage you to do the same.
Don’t Let Pain Control Your Destiny
Pain is a heavy weight, but it doesn’t have to control your destiny. Your mindset can be your greatest weapon. When you feel stuck, defeated, or overwhelmed, remember that you hold the power to shift your thinking and take the first step toward freedom. With Christ, we are equipped to do ALL things. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) I’m living proof of that. The same God who breathed life into me when I felt hopeless is ready and willing to do the same for you.
Move Forward in Faith
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that healing begins when we start to move. Whether it’s dancing, walking, praying, or simply taking a deep breath and choosing to believe in a better tomorrow—movement creates momentum. As I began to move, physically and emotionally, I felt God reminding me of my purpose and the promise He placed within me. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11). I started to feel healthier, stronger, and more confident in every area—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Now, I want to help others do the same. You don’t have to stay stuck. You don’t have to carry the weight of pain, grief, or disappointment any longer.
It’s Time to Dance Yourself Free
What does freedom look like to you?
For me, it’s joy. It’s dancing, celebrating, and reclaiming the life that God designed for me to live.
“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.”(Psalm 30:11-12)
It’s time to let go of what’s been holding you back!
Declare this over your life:
- I am not defeated.
- I will not stay stuck.
- I will move forward in faith and confidence.
- I will live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.
Believe in yourself and keep pushing toward your goals. Your breakthrough is on the other side of consistency, prayer, and faith. Remember, it’s not just about losing weight or reaching a milestone—it’s about living fully and abundantly, and becoming healthy, healed, and whole.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
With Christ by your side, you can do this. I’m cheering you on every step of the way. Now, get up, move, and dance yourself free!
You’ve got this!

Reflections
Take a moment to reflect on your own journey:
What areas of your life feel heavy right now? Are you carrying pain, disappointment, or fear that God is asking you to release?
How can you start moving forward today? Whether it’s through physical movement, a mindset shift, or deepening your faith—what is one small step you can take?
What promises of God do you need to hold onto? Speak His Word over your life and believe in His plan for you.
I encourage you to journal your thoughts, pray, and take action. Your freedom starts with a decision. So go ahead—move, dance, and reclaim the joy that is yours!
